In preparation for your procedure, the skin in the areas to be treated will be cleansed and then covered with ultrasound gel. The Ultherapy handpiece will then be used to apply ultrasound energy to the targeted areas.
The amount of discomfort, if any, during an Ultherapy procedure varies depending on the depth and location of the treatment. The duration of your Ultherapy session will vary depending on the size of the area being treated, but most Ultherapy sessions range from 45 to 90 minutes.
Benefits of Ultherapy
Ultherapy is the first of its kind – an FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment to rejuvenate and lift the skin on your face and neck. Treatments can result in tighter, more toned skin beneath the chin and on the jawline, brow and neck. Ultherapy requires no injection of foreign materials, no incisions and no downtime.
Recovery & Results
You can return to your daily activities immediately following your Ultherapy session. You may notice some redness, which will dissipate within a few hours. Many Ultherapy patients notice mild swelling and some tingling and sensitivity for a few days. Other temporary symptoms, such as numbness and bruising, are possible but uncommon.
Results appear gradually during the months following treatment as your body produces more collagen. While the changes will not be as pronounced as those created by surgery, most patients will experience subtle, natural-looking improvement as their face and neck become smoother, firmer and more youthful in appearance.
